How can licenses be sold at such low prices?
We purchase Microsoft licenses in large volumes from companies that no longer need them due to insolvency, migration to cloud offerings, or discontinued use. What is "used software"?
The term “used software” often raises questions and confusion, because used software is often associated with “used” and therefore not reusable. As with other products, software becomes used software if it has already been used. However, the software has the advantage that it is not subject to wear and tear . Installation and use do not cause wear.
Therefore, used software is of the same high quality as software purchased directly from the manufacturer or an authorized distributor . Used software does not lead to worse work results or component wear. It is therefore a good possibility to optimize costs by purchasing used software licenses.
What are the steps to follow to buy our licenses
To obtain your license key, you must proceed as follows:
- Step 1 – Complete your order: Place the desired item in the shopping cart and complete the checkout process. After completing the order, you will receive a confirmation email.
- Step 2 – Confirmation email: Shortly after receiving the confirmation email, you will receive a second email. You will find the product key there. Copy the product key.
- Step 3 – Activate the software: Download the required software from the download center . Install the software. Paste the required product key in the license field and complete the installation.
How to download the required software?
You will receive an e-mail containing the license key. You will also receive the download link whose software is usually found in our download center.
It is in general is a compressed file. You must unzip it, then launch the “Start” or “Setup” file and thus start the installation.
What the law says ?
In the European Union, the sale of used software is allowed.
A computer program sold by the author can be resold and used (principle of exhaustion). This means that after the sale of a work or its copy (including software), the author loses his right to decide on its further distribution.
The Munich Regional Court decided in its judgment of April 4, 2008 (relating to case no. 30 O 8684/07) that no further Microsoft approval was required for the resale of individually used Microsoft software licenses from of a volume license agreement. This decision was later upheld by the German Federal Supreme Court and the ECJ. In 2014, for example, the Federal Supreme Court of Germany ruled with reference to a judgment of the European Court of Justice, that the trade in used software is largely free of restrictions and that, therefore, these computer programs are generally available for sale.
Do you have access to support and updates with our licenses?
No difference from original purchase. The purchaser of the used software licenses is also entitled to all services related to the software.
